Hello, and thank you for downloading AllWrite 2.1. The file that you are reading right now contains information, history, clarifications and registration details concerning AllWrite. If you are easily bored and believe you already know everything about AllWrite, you can jump down to the last section, the legal bit.
It has been a while since the first release of AllWrite, and version 2 offers more features, greater stability, and hopefully less bugs than the previous version. Actually, AllWrite 2 is a completely new application, since I’ve rewritten all the code from scratch.
AllWrite is a text editor for anyone who works professionally with text – as an author, a journalist, or just anyone who likes writing. Unlike most other shareware text editors, AllWrite is not made specifically for programmers or HTML coders. The purpose of AllWrite is not only to fill the gap between obscurely over-technical text editors and expensive office solutions, but also to add new dimensions to the world of text editing. AllWrite is enough simple to be used by computer newbies, and it has enough advanced features to be a competitive alternative for use in the publishing industry.
The original AllWrite (version 1.2) brought some fresh concepts into the world of Macintosh text editing. Features like ergonomical colors, clean text, etc, have inspried lots of other text editor developers, and the functions of AllWrite 1.2 are now available in many other applications.

Future versions
AllWrite will be updated every now and then, to add new features, greater stability, and support for new techniques as they evolve. There will be a version working under MacOS X.

Other languages
AllWrite will be translated to other languages as the times goes. Currently, Swedish, Danish, German and French versions are planned.
Registration info
AllWrite is $20 shareware. You may try it out for a couple of weeks, but if you like it and decide to keep it, please register. By registering, you support shareware and further development of AllWrite, plus showing appreciation for the many days and nights I’ve put into it.
The easiest way to register it to use the Register application that came with this software package.
Using the Register Application
Open the Register program that accompanies AllWrite. Enter your name, your email address, and the number of single user licenses you wish to purchase (alternatively Site or World-Wide licenses).
Save or Copy or Print the data from the Register program and send the data and payment to Kagi. Kagi handles payment processing for the shareware products made by Fabian Lidman.
If paying with Credit Card or First Virtual, you can email or fax the data to Kagi. Their email address is sales@kagi.com and their fax number is +1 510 652-6589. You can either Copy the data from Register and paste into the body of an email message or you can save the data to a file and you can attach that file to an email message. There is no need to compress the data file, it's already pretty small. If you have a fax modem, just Print the data to the Kagi fax number.
Payments sent via email are processed within 3 to 4 days. You will receive an email acknowledgement and serial number when it is processed. Payments sent via fax take up to 10 days and if you provide a correct internet email address you will receive an email acknowledgement and a serial number for AllWrite.
If you are paying with Cash or USD Check you should print the data using the Register application and send it to the address shown on the form, which is:

You can pay with a wide variety of cash from different countries but at present if you pay via check, it must be a check drawn in US Dollars. Kagi cannot accept checks in other currencies, the conversion rate for non-USD checks is around USD 15 per check and that is just not practical.
If you have a purchasing department, you can enter all the data into the Register program and then select Invoice as your payment method. Print three copies of the form and send it to your accounts payable people. You might want to highlight the line that mentions that they must include a copy of the form with their payment.
Kagi can not invoice your company, you need to act on my behalf and generate the invoice and handle all the paperwork on your end.
Please do not fax or email payment forms that indicate Cash, Check or Invoice as the payment method. As far as we know, there is still no technology to transfer physical objects via fax or email and without the payment, the form cannot be processed.
Payments sent via postal mail take time to reach Kagi and then up to 10 days for processing. Again, if you include a correct email address, you will hear from Kagi when the form is processed.
Legal nicities
I (Fabian Lidman) hereby disclaim all warranties relating to this software. If you don't like it, or find that it doesn't work as you expected, don't use it. I do not take any responsibility to what might happen when using the application.
(I admit, that sounded strange, but what I want to say is that I am not responsible if AllWrite erases your hard drive or something. Not that I believe it will, but just in case.)
